The exhibition will present Kuhn's new series, "King's Way," for the first time in Taiwan. In this series, Kuhn rethinks the interaction of time and space within the iconic Schindler House in Los Angeles from a lyrical perspective. Designed by Austrian architect Rudolf M. Schindler in 1922, the building was not only a social and design experimental space but also a hub for avant-garde intellectuals and artists in the 1920s and 30s. Kuhn's lens presents the building as a living space imbued with history, culture, and emotional resonance, rather than merely a cold, impersonal structure.
In this exhibition, Kuhn's creative practice transcends the realm of photography, extending into video works, accompanied by delicate light-reversed photographs from the "King's Road" series. The video works are further enriched with 15 minutes of original surround music composed by Boris Saljo, creating a multi-sensory dialogue where image, sound, and space intertwine.
