"Il soufflera de l'Est is anchored in a temporality where nothing has yet happened; it brings forewarning/foreboding of an intangible threat. It points our eye toward an empty part of the horizon, operating out of the silence that precedes the explosions of bombs and thunderstorms. It brings together, for the first time in any gallery, my photographic, sculptural and pictorial work. The exhibit retraces the outline of a certain history of the way violence has been depicted."
