To mark the Year of Brazil in France, Galerie Rouge is organizing a solo exhibition of the work of Brazilian photographer Gaspar Gasparian (1899-1966). Along with Thomas Farkas and Marcel Giró, he is a leading figure of the post-war Brazilian modernist movement, which pushed photography ever further in its formal explorations and abstraction. This "school" was recently the subject of a fascinating exhibition at the Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles in the summer of 2025, entitled "Construction Deconstruction Reconstruction: Brazilian Modernist Photography (1939-1964)."
