The exhibition brings together three german photographers, who, born by the wind of history, fled into exile in South America at the end of the 1930s. These three women, after receiving a photographic training in Germany, notably at the legendary Bauhaus school and at the studio of Paul Wolff – whose name is closely related to the Leica brand – began practicing in Berlin, Paris and London. Each from their respective countries with their own specific style, they sailed across the Atlantic to pursue their careers.
