It is said to be silent. A thick, rough, infinite, liberating, lying, lively, joyful silence. We say reconnect with our silences. Those that the night does not cover, that it does not envelop. We say that we give a texture to the silences of our daytime lives. It is often said, too often, that silence is opposed to noise. Here, in the jolt of the artists' work, nothing is said. We thought that silence could be a state. We wondered where the heart of the silences was. In the plural. Never the same, it is adorned with different scales each time, it composes and intertwines itself, it calls for language. Like a place where questions are born. With regard to the work of Yasmina Benabderrahmane, Henry Glavin, Emma Lucy Linford and Guy Oberson, we have given silences the chance to give another tone to our sensitive experience. We don't know where we will end up. Silence as a disjunction that doesn't just close, but reveals itself as an incredible opening to what could be said.
