The Musée Maillol and the Tempora agency present an exhibition of photographs by the artist Andres Serrano, to better understand an America engaged in an electoral battle crucial to its future.
Through his photographs, Andres Serrano reveals an often disturbing reality of America. Religion, death, sex, politics, poverty and violence permeate the work of this American artist. Provocative for some, an objective witness to the world for others, Andres Serrano readily emphasizes the taboos that a puritanical America wishes to conceal. Some of his potentially shocking images, sometimes vandalized in previous exhibitions, will therefore be presented in a dedicated area. In all, visitors will discover 89 works emblematic of the artist's various themes.
