Alice Pallot presents "Algues maudites, a Sea of Tears" at Fisheye Gallery. With this committed series on the toxic algae that proliferate along the Breton coasts, the Belgian artist wants to "provide the viewer with keys for interpretation, so that he or she can engage in the essential questioning of the preservation of ecosystems in the face of their exploitation and the imminent decline of biodiversity. [She] wants to inform and make certain data more accessible, because [she] believes that many scientific studies are impenetrable. It therefore tries to make them more accessible."
