Ambassade d'Argentine
6 rue Cimarosa
75116 Paris

Opening Tuesday, November 8, from 5:30 pm to 9 pm
In Remakes, the Argentine artist Alejandro Erbetta considered attempts to reconstruct the history of his family of Italian origin, who emigrated to Argentina at the end of the 19th century. Through estimated data and stories, the artist resolved to follow his intuitions in order to weave a thread that would allow him to write a probable history.
By travelling through the regions of Northern Italy, he tried to find an individual and collective history. But how can we reconstruct our own history when there are silences, elements that escape us or the unknown?
