To mark the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, BnF is devoting an exhibition to the history of women's sport in France since the late 19th century. Long considered the poor relation of sporting competition, women's sport has gained increasing prominence over the last century and a half.
The À nous les stades! exhibition traces the ups and downs of this eventful history, which also tells the story of the status of women in France.
