The Jeu de Paume presents a retrospective devoted to Dorothea Lange (1895-1965), one of the twentieth century’s most important photographers. Drawing from the archives of the Oakland Museum of California, it is the first exhibition to focus on the extraordinary emotional power of the artist’s work and to present her work produced during the Great Depression, the Second World War and post-war America, from the perspective of her political activism.
