LE BAL presents Braguino ou la communauté impossible [Braguino or the impossible community], a project by Clément Cogitore, winner of the 2016 LE BAL Award for Young Artists with ADAGP. Launched in 2015, LE BAL Award for Young Artists with ADAGP gives in-depth, long-term support to an emerging artistic project. Braguino is the name of a little village in Siberia, home to two families who belong to a community of orthodox Old Believers' living in self-sufficient isolation whom Clément Cogitore met in his search of this unimaginable community'. The viewer is plunged into an immersive forest installation, and is invited to experience the feeling of travelling through a world and a landscape where plant, human and animal life live together in a chaotic, brutal, free and luminous ensemble.
