Independently from the role that he plays in the New Objectivity movement, Albert Renger-Patzsch (1897-1966) is today considered one of the most influential figures in the history of photography in the 20th century. The exhibition pays homage to this exceptional photographer allowing us to rediscover the posterity of his work, inviting a reflection on the nature of photography and its artistic speculative potential in current problematics in art.

Exhibition organised by Fundación MAPFRE, in cooperation with Jeu de Paume, with the special collaboration and the scientific support of Ann and Jürgen Wilde Foundation and Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich.
